Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Franklin Picard (ranked 4471 p4p, 3266 weight class) and Charles Rose (ranked 514 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Franklin Picard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Charles Rose!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose jabs Picard to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Rose loads up on a big right hand but Picard slips the punch.
Picard darts in trying to clinch
and Rose counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Picard fails with an attempt to clinch.
Picard fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rose looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Rose throws a nice looking combination but Picard bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Picard takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Picard tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rose swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rose connects with a nice looking jab.
Rose cracks Picard with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Charles Rose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rose looks to score with a jab to the body but Picard is just out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Picard is looking to clinch.
Picard slips under a jab.
Rose scores with a jab to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Picard rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rose moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rose scores with a jab. Picard acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Picard dives in and grabs Rose's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rose pushes down on Picard's head and hops out.
Picard uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rose.
Picard shoots in but Rose avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Picard throws a head kick but Rose moves out of range.
Picard wants to clinch.
Picard wants to clinch up but Rose keeps it at a distance.
Rose ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Picard moves away.
It looked like Picard was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Rose throws a lazy right hand but Picard sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Picard ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Rose fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rose listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Picard is breathing heavily.
Rose throws a body shot but no joy.
Picard closes the distance looking to clinch
and Rose counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rose scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Picard doesn't seem bothered though.
Rose throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A big right from Rose misses.
Rose lands a slapping body shot.
Picard walks into a left hand.
Rose is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Picard had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
A left and a right from Rose both land. Nice combination.
Rose works Picard's body with a nice hook.
Rose scores with a jab. Picard acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Picard is rocked!
Rose missing with a left hand there. Picard was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Picard is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Rose just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Picard has gone limp and this one is over!
