The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mazzi tries to grapple but his opponent circles
letting Broodthaers counter with a right hand.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mazzi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Broodthaers gets tackled into the cage by Mazzi. Mazzi maintains the clinch.
Mazzi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Broodthaers walks away with a smile on his face. Mazzi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mazzi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Mazzi tries to clinch
and Broodthaers makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mazzi tries to close the distance and clinch but Broodthaers swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Mazzi is trying to pull guard but Broodthaers has him pressed against the cage.

Constantin Broodthaers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lotterio Mazzi.
