Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Shogun (ranked 3446 p4p, 5011 weight class) and Kali Turner (ranked 436 p4p, 545 weight class). Kali Turner is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Wanderlei Shogun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kali Turner!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner swats away the attempt to clinch by Shogun.
Shogun misses with a left hand
and Turner makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Shogun rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Turner moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A nice side step and Turner releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Shogun tries to clinch
and Turner cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Turner takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Kali Turner has been cut.
Shogun takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Turner cracks a nice hook into Shogun's ribs.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Turner comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Shogun throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Shogun moves in looking to clinch but Turner pushes him off.
Turner throws a nice looking combination but Shogun bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Turner cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Turner counters with a nice uppercut.
Turner avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Shogun tries to clinch up.
Turner cracks Shogun with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Shogun tries to clinch there but Turner circles away.

Shogun scores with a takedown into Turner's guard.
Shogun stays in close to Turner's body and controls the position.
Shogun might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Turner preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Shogun trying to control but Turner is working from the bottom.
Shogun pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Turner is keeping the position for now.
Turner wants to stand but Shogun is controlling the position.
Shogun is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Shogun stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Turner is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Shogun had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Turner rushes Shogun and presses him up against the cage.
Turner prevents a takedown attempt there.

Shogun tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Turner just stands there and leans against the cage.

Shogun has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Turner after a bit of a struggle.

Turner scores with a hook to the body. Shogun takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Turner drives through and clinches with Shogun against the cage.
Turner wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Shogun is looking to break free of the clinch but Turner has double underhooks.
Turner on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Shogun jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Turner walks away with a smile on his face. Shogun gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wanderlei Shogun. That's going to take a lot out of him.
