Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rahman misses with a body kick.
Portis now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Rahman pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Portis is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Rahman with a body shot.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Portis! But no joy.

It looks like Abdul Rahman has been cut.
Portis walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Portis throws a jab when Rahman was well out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rahman scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Portis doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Portis throws out a loose jab but Rahman uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rahman connects with a good right hand that stumbles Portis. Portis circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Portis has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Portis there as he acknowledges the shot.
Rahman throws an off balance right hand
and Portis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Portis ducks under a wild hook from Rahman.
Portis bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rahman's head backwards.
Rahman misses the body punch
and Portis counters with a crisp right that sends Rahman to the canvas! Portis follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
