Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Piano (ranked 26 p4p, 136 weight class) and Jorge Cruz Jr (ranked 3 p4p, 25 weight class). Piano comes to the cage accompanied by Rick Piano Man. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jorge Cruz Jr was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 40 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Piano !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jorge Cruz Jr!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piano ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cruz Jr moves away.
A little jabbing left from Cruz Jr on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Cruz Jr throws a head kick that half lands.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Piano thows a leg kick but Cruz Jr checks it
and Cruz Jr counters with a crisp one two that drops Piano ! Cruz Jr thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Piano to his feet! Piano is in big trouble!
Rick Piano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Piano scores with a kick to the midsection.
Cruz Jr misses with a looping right.
Cruz Jr checks a leg kick.
Cruz Jr is looking for the big counter here.
Cruz Jr takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Cruz Jr takes a body punch but keeps moving.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Piano throws a head kick that misses.
Cruz Jr throws out a counter right but Piano avoids it with no problem.

The fight stays on the outside here - Piano looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Cruz Jr looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Piano looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Cruz Jr will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
As Cruz Jr tries to get set, Piano tries to push him back and clinch up but Cruz Jr manages to avoid the attempt.
Piano fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cruz Jr manages to avoid it.
Cruz Jr looks like he wants to counter punch here.
A chopping leg kick lands by Piano .
Piano throws a nice inside leg kick.

Cruz Jr throws a shot from downtown. Piano moves away and avoids it.
Cruz Jr tries a head kick but it misses.
Piano throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Piano takes a swing at Cruz Jr's ribcage but misses.
Cruz Jr uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Piano .
Cruz Jr swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Cruz Jr fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Piano manages to avoid it.
Cruz Jr throws a right and a left that Piano avoids nicely.
Nice jab there from Cruz Jr.

Piano forces Cruz Jr back against the cage and clinches.
Cruz Jr breaks from the clinch.
A shot to the body from Piano misses
and Cruz Jr counters with a stiff right hand.
Piano bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Piano moves out of range of the strikes.
Piano fails with an attempt to clinch.
Piano takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Piano throws a sloppy head kick
and Cruz Jr counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Piano wants to clinch up but Cruz Jr keeps it at a distance.
Cruz Jr throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Piano misses with a kick to the body
and Piano takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Rick Piano has been cut.
Piano looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Cruz Jr doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Piano slips a jab from Cruz Jr.
Cruz Jr lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Piano out cold! Piano is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jorge Cruz Jr!
After the fight, Jorge Cruz Jr was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Rick Piano was interviewed post fight and said 'I need more roids!'.
