This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 14 wins and 9 losses; Rodrizinho Chai! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 2 losses; Pavel Savkov!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Savkov's coach down at Rivers Edge Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Savkov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Chai is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Savkov gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Savkov is pressed up against the ropes. Chai has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Savkov down to the mat. Savkov avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Chai shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Savkov counters by clinching up.

Chai has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Savkov after a bit of a struggle.
