Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Wagner (ranked 4463 p4p, 3911 weight class) and William Reeves (ranked 525 p4p, 481 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dennis Wagner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, William Reeves!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Eddie Farnsworth and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reeves blocks a head kick by Wagner.
Wagner stuffs the takedown.
Reeves fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
It looked like Wagner was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Wagner misses with a head kick.
Wagner just misses with a punch to the body.
A solid leg kick lands there for Wagner.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reeves shoots in for a double leg but Wagner sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Wagner is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Reeves's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Wagner tries to get to full guard but Reeves has control of the leg.

Wagner preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Reeves is pressing down on Wagner's thigh, looking to free his foot. Wagner is holding on for now.

Wagner is concentrating on defense, preventing Reeves from advancing position.
Wagner won't allow Reeves to pass to mount.
Wagner desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Wagner has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Reeves walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Wagner checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

William Reeves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reeves shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wagner as he avoids it easily.

Reeves shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wagner sprawls well. Wagner wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Reeves gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Reeves decides to stand back up. Reeves steps back and let's Wagner get back to his feet.
Reeves goes for a double leg but Wagner avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wagner continues to drive forward.

Reeves shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Reeves jumps guard but Wagner stands there with Reeves around his waist. Reeves gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Reeves is trying to stall.
Reeves tries to score a body lock takedown but Wagner shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Wagner gets underhooks to prevent Reeves's takedown attempt.
Reeves tries to pull guard but Wagner won't allow it.
Wagner lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Reeves jumps guard but Wagner turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Wagner pushes Reeves back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Wagner for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Wagner lands a good knee to the midsection. Reeves won't want to take too many of those.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Wagner explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Reeves walks straight into a right hand from Wagner - that's dropped him! Wagner jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Reeves from any more punishment! Reeves complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
