The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Shoemaker. Those never looked like landing.
Cloudsen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Cloudsen shoots for a double leg takedown but Shoemaker sprawls well. He's pushed Cloudsen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Shoemaker throws a series of strikes that have Cloudsen backpedaling.

It looks like Bjorn Cloudsen has been cut.
Shoemaker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cloudsen.
Cloudsen dives in for a single leg takedown but Shoemaker sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Shoemaker tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bjorn Cloudsen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shoemaker tries to break the clinch but Cloudsen is controlling the position.
Cloudsen is working for takedown but Shoemaker is calmly controlling the position for now.

Shoemaker gets through Cloudsen's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Shoemaker lands a nice uppercut.
Cloudsen drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shoemaker pulls his leg out and moves away.
Cloudsen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Shoemaker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Shoemaker throws a series of punches but Cloudsen moves out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Donk. Shoemaker catches Cloudsen right on the button with a cross.
Cloudsen shoots in for a takedown but Shoemaker shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Cloudsen darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Shoemaker kicks Cloudsen off and gets back to his feet.
Shoemaker closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Cloudsen drops his hands for a split second and Shoemaker immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Cloudsen face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Shoemaker follows up with a right hand that knocks Cloudsen into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
