Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jesper Light (ranked 4418 p4p, 3867 weight class) and Jerome Brat (ranked 202 p4p, 0 weight class). Light comes to the cage accompanied by Twilight Zone. Jerome Brat has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jesper Light's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brat looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Light keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Brat scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Brat stalling.
Brat wants to pass the guard but Light is defending well.
Brat tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brat decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Brat closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brat lands in his opponent's guard.
Brat is standing up over Light. Light looks to escape but Brat dives into side control.

Light tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Brat manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Light is looking to stand up but Brat isn't so interested in that idea.
Brat is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Light wants to stand and escape but Brat is having none of it.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Brat not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Brat shoots in looking for a takedown. Light tries to sprawl out of it but Brat keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Light manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Light tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Brat manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Light tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brat paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Light went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
