Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Micah Hawk (ranked 3251 p4p, 3024 weight class) and Tyrell Jackson (ranked 361 p4p, 330 weight class). Jackson has chosen The World is Yours as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Micah Hawk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyrell Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Jackson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hawk drops his hands momentarily and Jackson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
A punch combination from Jackson misses.
Hawk swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Nice cross by Jackson.
Jackson misses with a low kick as Hawk jumps back.
Hawk feinted with a counter takedown.
Jackson with a lazy takedown attempt
and Hawk counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jackson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Jackson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jackson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hawk feinted with a counter takedown.
Jackson closes the distance and clinches up with Hawk, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes Hawk against the cage but Hawk circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hawk throws a body punch but Jackson moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hawk showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jackson.
An attempted straight right counter from Hawk misses the target.
Jackson fails to land the takedown.
Micah Hawk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyrell Jackson.
Jackson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hawk counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Hawk misses with a hook. Jackson ducked under it nicely.

Jackson pushes Hawk up against the cage in a clinch.
Hawk has a couple of punches blocked by Jackson.
Hawk wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jackson has him pressed against the cage.
Hawk trying to land knees to the body.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jackson looks to score with a jab to the body but Hawk is just out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jackson tries for a takedown but Hawk sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
An attempted straight right counter from Hawk misses the target.
Hawk stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jackson.
Hawk waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jackson.

Jackson drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hawk looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Jackson is defending well. Hawk quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Jackson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Hawk celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Micah Hawk!
A very excited looking Micah Hawk made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
