Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ludwig Von Mises (ranked 812 p4p, 665 weight class) and Wilhelm Strauss (ranked 126 p4p, 103 weight class). Strauss has chosen Root Of All Evil as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Von Mises tries to pull guard but Strauss holds him up against the cage and eventually Von Mises drops back down to his feet.

Strauss pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Von Mises.

That was a close round but I would say that Ludwig Von Mises will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Strauss lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Von Mises is looking to wear down Strauss with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Von Mises working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Strauss doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Strauss manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ludwig Von Mises.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Von Mises, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
