PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Willem Kriel (ranked 6244 p4p, 2095 weight class) and Jock Langdon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kriel comes to the cage accompanied by Jack Parow & Freshlyground - Army Of One. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Willem Kriel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jock Langdon!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kriel thows a left - swing and a miss!
It seemed like Langdon was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Kriel pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Langdon gets a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Langdon has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Kriel is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Kriel does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Langdon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kriel's head.

Kriel throws a chopping leg kick but Langdon manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Langdon has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Kriel!

Kriel is rocked!
Langdon postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Kriel badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Langdon around the waist but Langdon pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Langdon is the winner by TKO! Langdon jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jock Langdon!
