Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noah Anderson (ranked 6512 p4p, 3566 weight class) and Khabib Ferguson (ranked 512 p4p, 370 weight class). Khabib Ferguson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Noah Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Khabib Ferguson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ferguson drops Anderson with a left right combo! Ferguson follows him down to the ground into side control.

It looks like Noah Anderson has been cut.
Anderson is looking to regain half guard here but Ferguson keeps moving and retains side control.
Anderson prevents Ferguson from moving into mount.
Anderson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Anderson tries to get out of the position.

Ferguson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Anderson, who protects the arm well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ferguson is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Ferguson is trying to get an arm triangle but Anderson is defending well.

Ferguson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Anderson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Ferguson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ferguson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ferguson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Ferguson is looking to take a break and control but Anderson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
What's Anderson going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Ferguson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Anderson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Anderson tries to bench press Ferguson off him but Ferguson keeps the position.
Anderson holds on to Ferguson's head and controls the position momentarily.
Ferguson trying to control the action but Anderson is working from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ferguson moves into full mount!

Ferguson looking for a guillotine from mount but Anderson is having none of it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Khabib Ferguson dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Noah Anderson's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!

Anderson punishes Ferguson's body with a nice straight punch.
Ferguson throws a big shot that misses.
Ferguson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Anderson.
Ferguson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Ferguson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A little feinted left hand from Anderson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ferguson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Anderson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Anderson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ferguson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Anderson throws a nice looking combination but Ferguson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ferguson misses with a left hand
letting Anderson counter with a right hand.
Ferguson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ferguson walks forward, straight into a front kick from Anderson.
Anderson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Ferguson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Anderson moves away.
Ferguson throws a sloppy head kick
and Anderson counters with a solid body kick.
Ferguson is breathing heavily.
Ferguson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Anderson lands a nice hook to Ferguson's body. Ferguson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Ferguson throws a poor cross that misses
letting Anderson counter with a right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Anderson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ferguson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Good leg kick by Anderson.
Ferguson throws a lazy uppercut
and Anderson counters with an inside leg kick.
Anderson lands a two punch combo.
Ferguson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Anderson throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Anderson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Ferguson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Anderson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Ferguson sprawling to the canvas! Ferguson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Anderson finish him?!
Anderson bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Anderson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ferguson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Anderson throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Ferguson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Anderson lands with a good body shot.

Anderson jabs Ferguson right on the nose. Ferguson blinks but takes it well.
Ferguson throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Anderson counters with a crisp one two that drops Ferguson! Anderson thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Ferguson to his feet! Ferguson is in big trouble!

Ferguson is rocked!
Anderson is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Anderson finds Ferguson's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Ferguson flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Anderson lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Ferguson will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Noah Anderson!
