Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dragon Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichiro Miyata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dragon Rage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ichiro Miyata!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Miyata. No joy for Rage on that attempt.

Rage scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Miyata is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Rage is controlling him well.
Rage has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Rage throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Miyata because Rage loaded up on that one.
Miyata wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Rage.
Miyata squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Miyata slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Rage sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Miyata defending well though.
Still in half guard, Rage seems content to control.
Rage trying to control the action but Miyata is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miyata is looking to improve his position.

Rage is tying to control. Miyata wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Miyata is trying to stand back up but Rage is controlling him
Miyata is refusing to be controlled, as Rage sits in half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A combination from Miyata does no damage.
Rage knocks Miyata to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?


Miyata is rocked!


It looks like Ichiro Miyata has been cut.

Rage decides to stand back up. Rage steps back and let's Miyata get back to his feet.
Miyata is still on wobbly legs! Can Rage finish him?
Rage throws a sloppy head kick and Miyata moves out of range easily.
Miyata seems to have recovered his senses.
Miyata throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rage.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rage lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rage has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rage and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Rage misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rage tries to clinch there but Miyata circles away.
Rage is breathing heavily.
Rage is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rage shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Miyata as he avoids it easily.

Miyata checks the leg kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Miyata.
Miyata shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rage but Rage pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rage thows a body shot but no joy.
Miyata fails with the takedown.
Dragon Rage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ichiro Miyata.
Rage is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Miyata gets caught flat footed, as Rage shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Miyata utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Miyata wants to stand but Rage is controlling the position.

Rage stands up and waves to Miyata to follow him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Miyata avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rage is looking to clinch but Miyata is avoiding it.
Rage misses the shot to the body.
Miyata will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Miyata throws a series of punches but Rage moves out of range.
Miyata will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Miyata moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Rage fails with the takedown.
Rage misses with a head kick.
Rage keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Miyata closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rage circles away.
Rage fails in his attempt to clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Miyata lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rage!

Miyata goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Rage ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Miyata moves away.
Rage will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rage looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Dragon Rage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rage scores with a kick to the midsection.

Miyata gets caught flat footed, as Rage shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Miyata keeping moving, preventing Rage from controlling successfully.
Miyata wants to stand but Rage is controlling the position.
Rage stands up over Miyata, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Miyata is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Miyata wants to get back to striking at distance but Rage won't allow it.
Rage misses with a punch to the body.
Rage is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Miyata pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dragon Rage. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rage prevents Miyata from breaking the clinch.
Miyata wants to break the clinch but can't.
Rage tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Miyata smiles and moves away.

Dragon Rage overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Miyata wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Miyata throws a leg kick which misses Rage's front leg but catches the back leg as Rage tries to avoid it.

Miyata shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Miyata gets to his feet. Rage looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Rage moves in looking to clinch but Miyata pushes him off.
Rage really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Miyata throws a series of punches but Rage moves out of range.
Miyata tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rage dances in with a quick combination. Miyata is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Rage snaps Miyata's head back. Miyata stumbles backwards against the cage. Rage steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Miyata's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Miyata just didn't come prepared.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Dragon Rage!
