Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cranky Weasel (ranked 6448 p4p, 6433 weight class) and Mandark Astonomanov (ranked 481 p4p, 479 weight class). The key to victory for Cranky Weasel has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Astonomanov takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Astonomanov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Weasel to the mat! Weasel manages to get full guard.

Astonomanov's coach down at Battle Science was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Astonomanov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Weasel ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Astonomanov moves away.
Astonomanov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Astonomanov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Weasel.
Weasel lands a nice shot that snaps Astonomanov's head back.
Weasel throws out a loose jab but Astonomanov uses good head movement to avoid it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Astonomanov! But no joy.

Astonomanov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Weasel but Weasel pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Astonomanov is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Weasel connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Astonomanov tumbling to the canvas! Weasel pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Astonomanov was done - good stoppage!
