The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arai looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Brown takes the fight into the clinch.
Arai's coach down at Takeda Clan Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Arai's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Brown pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Arai lands with a kick to the temple. Brown shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Arai lands with a thumping leg kick.
Arai takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Brown blocks a head kick by Arai.
Brown throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Brown takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Arai throws a sloppy head kick and Brown moves out of range easily.
Arai buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Brown misses with a body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Arai with the inside leg kick.
Brown throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Arai throws a head kick but Brown moves out of range.
Arai does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Brown tried to counter with a leg kick but Arai avoided it.
Brown lunges at Arai with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Arai's hand.

It looks like Takeo Arai has been cut.
Arai throws a head kick that misses.
Brown fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Arai to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Arai looks to clinch but Brown throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Arai taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
