Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

Hoyt gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ovill to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ovill prevents Hoyt from getting back to his feet.
Ovill is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ovill seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hoyt for as long as he can get away with.
Hoyt tries to buck Ovill off but he can't manage it.

Andy Ovill overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Ovill has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

This is a sustained period of stalling by Ovill.
Ovill's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Hoyt lands with a kick to the ribs.
Andy Ovill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ovill fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hoyt, pushing him back against the cage.
Ovill is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hoyt pulls him back up using the underhooks.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Ovill escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hoyt tries a head kick but it misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hoyt connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hoyt displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ovill.

Ovill closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hoyt to the mat! Hoyt manages to get full guard.

Ovill controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ovill throws a big right hand that misses.
Ovill engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Ovill will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Hoyt fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ovill.

Ovill shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hoyt but Hoyt pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Hoyt is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Ovill fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Hoyt wants to get back to striking at distance but Ovill won't allow it.
Ovill has Hoyt pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hoyt manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Hoyt is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Ovill breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hoyt fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ovill has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
