Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chame Boxing Champ (ranked 2696 p4p, 6575 weight class) and Paolo Alfonso (ranked 359 p4p, 653 weight class). Alfonso has chosen 1 2 as his entrance music. Chame Boxing Champ has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chame Boxing Champ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paolo Alfonso!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boxing Champ avoids the body shot from Alfonso.
Boxing Champ keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Alfonso just misses with a punch to the body.
Boxing Champ throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Alfonso on the side of the head.
Alfonso connects with a high kick.
Alfonso throws a leg kick but Boxing Champ sees it coming and moves out of range.
Alfonso throws a sloppy head kick and Boxing Champ moves out of range easily.
Alfonso swings for the body but Boxing Champ moves out of range.
We've been hearing reports that Boxing Champ has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
A solid leg kick lands there for Alfonso.
Boxing Champ throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A little jabbing left from Alfonso on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Alfonso scores with a head kick.
Boxing Champ misses the jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Alfonso. Boxing Champ does a little dance to reset his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Boxing Champ on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Alfonso. Alfonso obviously looking to wear him down.
Boxing Champ throws a head kick that misses.

Boxing Champ closes the distance and pushes Alfonso back into the cage.

Boxing Champ breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alfonso tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Boxing Champ closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Boxing Champ.

Boxing Champ pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Alfonso throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Alfonso misses with a head kick.

Boxing Champ looking to score a takedown here. Alfonso is defending well but Boxing Champ drives through and ends up in Alfonso's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Alfonso can't keep his opponent in guard - Boxing Champ advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Boxing Champ tries to pass to full mount but Alfonso defends it.
Boxing Champ seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Boxing Champ looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Boxing Champ slows the pace down in half guard.
Boxing Champ working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Well, if Boxing Champ is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Boxing Champ is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Boxing Champ throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Boxing Champ wants to control but Alfonso is keeping him busy.

Boxing Champ is looking for a kimura but Alfonso is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Boxing Champ to get the leverage.

Boxing Champ has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Boxing Champ lands a nice short elbow.

Boxing Champ is trying to control the action in half guard but Alfonso is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Alfonso is rocked!
Boxing Champ seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Alfonso is still in real trouble! Can Boxing Champ finish him?

Boxing Champ is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Alfonso doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Boxing Champ.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Boxing Champ circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Alfonso to the canvas! Alfonso doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Boxing Champ keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
