The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Caulfield closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Caulfield lands in his opponent's guard.

Caulfield has gone for a leg lock! Hoover slips out almost immediately though and dives into Caulfield's guard.

Caulfield working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hoover doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hoover manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Caulfield is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hoover is sitting in close to Caulfield's body. Caulfield has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Hoover is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Hoover is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Caulfield.
