The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Bolivar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bright has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bolivar has managed to get both his arms back between Bright's legs - danger averted.

Bright has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Bolivar uses his free foot to push down on Bright's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bright.

Bolivar seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bright for as long as he can get away with.

Bright is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bolivar gets his way!

Bolivar is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Bright has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Bolivar has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Bright taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Bolivar doesn't care though - he's delighted!
