Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Okafor (ranked 1955 p4p, 2835 weight class) and Roman Ship (ranked 218 p4p, 305 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Roman Ship was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ship tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Okafor was well out of range. Poor timing from Ship.
Ship tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

A counter left hand to the body from Okafor misses its target.
Ship tries to land a front kick but Okafor steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Okafor was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Roman Ship seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Okafor was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

That has opened up Roman Ship's cut even more.

and Okafor counters with a nice right hand that sends Ship toppling to the canvas! Ship scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Okafor finish him?!
