Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Adam Yang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 15 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Elijah James!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yang throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Yang sets himself, and James steps forward looking for the clinch! Yang avoids it this time.
James closes the distance but Yang moves to the side

and Yang counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
James pushes Yang off but Yang dives into side control.
Yang is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt James will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Yang's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
James taking a bit of punishment here - Yang scoring with strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee asks Yang politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Yang prefers to stall for the moment though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yang creates some space and throws a big elbow, but James sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Yang has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Yang bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Yang working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
James parries the strikes from Yang easily there. Yang is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable James to escape.
Yang happy to just control the position for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
James dodges the ground and pound from Yang.
Yang creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
James really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yang. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Yang in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... James is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Adam Yang!
