PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Barnes (ranked 4925 p4p, 6013 weight class) and Henderson Dean (ranked 557 p4p, 627 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Fred Barnes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Henderson Dean!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.

It looks like Fred Barnes has been cut.
Barnes drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dean gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Dean drops Barnes with a big knee straight up the middle! Barnes is covering up against the ropes but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Barnes shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dean manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Dean felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Barnes, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
