Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Viktor Davydenkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daniel Damndam!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.

Damndam closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Davydenkov quickly recovers to half guard.
Damndam thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Davydenkov's head.
Davydenkov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Damndam with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Damndam throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Damndam trying to control the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Damndam is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Viktor Davydenkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A bone on bone clash there as Damndam blocks the leg kick.
Davydenkov will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Damndam now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Damndam pushes Davydenkov up against the cage in a clinch.

Damndam turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Damndam manages to end up in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davydenkov gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Davydenkov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Davydenkov tries to get out of the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Damndam lands a heavy elbow.
Damndam breaks from Davydenkov's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Damndam lands a couple of good shots and Davydenkov has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Damndam working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Davydenkov is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Damndam has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Davydenkov taps out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Daniel Damndam!
