PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Disco Kid (ranked 372 p4p, 849 weight class) and Dulles Bush (ranked 40 p4p, 88 weight class). Kid comes to the cage accompanied by Wu Tang Clan - Protect Ya Neck. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kid throws an off balance right hand
and Bush counters with a nice body shot.
A solid leg kick lands there for Bush.
Bush ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kid moves away.
Kid half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Kid dives in for a single leg takedown but Bush sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kid postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bush looks a forlorn figure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You get the feeling that Bush really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Kid has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

and Bush counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kid's knee momentarily.

Bush pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A slow jab from Bush misses its intended target.
Horrible takedown attempt by Kid or perhaps it was just good defense by Bush, which made it look bad.
