Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bertel Haardt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Edmund Maloney!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.

Maloney avoids a punch combination nicely.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Maloney has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Haardt ducks under a wild hook from Maloney.
Nice straight punches there by Maloney. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Maloney.

Maloney closes the distance and clinches.
Maloney has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Maloney is looking to break free of the clinch but Haardt has double underhooks.

Maloney is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Haardt lands with a left to the head.
Haardt lands on the inside with an uppercut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Maloney blocks an elbow strike from Haardt.

Haardt is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Haardt tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
A frustrated look appears on Maloney's face as he tries to break the clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Haardt creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Maloney manages to break the clinch.
Maloney swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Haardt makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Maloney looks winded!

Haardt lands a left and a right that send Maloney crashing to the mat, dazed. Haardt thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Maloney is rocked!

It looks like Edmund Maloney has been cut.
Bertel Haardt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Haardt has closed the distance and engaged Maloney in a clinch.

Maloney breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Maloney takes an elbow to the temple.

Haardt drops Maloney onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Maloney is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Maloney is still on wobbly legs! Can Haardt finish him?
Haardt lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Maloney goes for a takedown attempt but Haardt pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Maloney works the jab nicely.
Maloney throws a looping overhand right but Haardt ducks down to avoid it.
Maloney seems to have recovered his senses.

Maloney moves into the clinch.
Maloney can't break the clinch.
Haardt will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Maloney up against the cage.

Maloney is trying to break free.

Maloney manages to break the clinch.
Maloney looks to land a right hand but Haardt moved out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Haardt on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Maloney gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Haardt gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Maloney is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bertel Haardt!
In defeat, Edmund Maloney stepped up to the mic, saying 'My opponent is a cheater!'.
