Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Project Cd (ranked 5681 p4p, 6951 weight class) and Yao Trajano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yao Trajano looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Project Cd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yao Trajano!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.

Trajano misses with a double jab

and Cd decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Trajano's guard.

Trajano can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cd controls the pace.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Trajano can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cd seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Cd slows the pace down in half guard.

Trajano wants to get back to full guard but Cd has passed into side control.
Cd remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Cd lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Trajano down.

Trajano takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Cd's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Cd works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Trajano is not content to let Cd control the position.

Trajano drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We've been informed that Trajano has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Trajano must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Cd is adopting a defensive guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Trajano accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Cd will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Cd slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Trajano is looking to improve his position.
Cd has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cd controlling the pace.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Cd slips a nice elbow through Trajano's hands, connecting with Trajano's forehead.

Cd is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Trajano on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Cd catches Trajano napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Trajano to the canvas!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Cd arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Trajano's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Project Cd!
