Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between AJ Barton (ranked 4826 p4p, 5083 weight class) and Jett Favor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jett Favor!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Favor goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A little feinted left hand from Barton on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Favor closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Barton makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Favor closes this distance looking for a takedown but Barton circles away.

Barton gets caught flat footed, as Favor shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Favor rushes Barton and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Favor tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
AJ Barton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jett Favor.

Favor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Barton gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Barton manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Barton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Favor stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Favor changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Barton fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Barton throws a big counter combination but Favor scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looked like Barton was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Barton gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Favor to score an easy takedown into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that AJ Barton will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Favor makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Favor cracks a nice hook into Barton's ribs.
Barton tries to bum rush Favor with a series of wild strikes but Favor uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Favor is looking for the big counter here.
Favor shoots in looking for a takedown. Barton tries to sprawl out of it but Favor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Favor tries for a takedown but Barton sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Favor moves in looking to clinch but Barton pushes him off.
Favor shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Barton pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

and Favor counters with a takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barton gets back to half guard.
Barton is trying to stand up here but Favor is controlling him well.
Favor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Barton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Favor tries to stand but can't do so whilst Barton controls his leg.
Favor takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Favor is pressing down on Barton's thigh, looking to free his foot. Barton is holding on for now.
Favor working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Barton's thigh. Barton counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Favor trying to control the position from guard on top but Barton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Favor must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Barton can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Favor controls the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Favor throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Barton tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Favor is in Barton's guard.

Favor stands up from Barton's guard - Favor perhaps looking for a knockout.
Barton jabbing away but nothing is landing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that AJ Barton will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Favor shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Barton as he jumps to the side.

Favor is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Barton to keep the fight standing.
Favor lands a knee to the body.
Favor tries to pull guard but Barton won't allow it.

Favor drags the fight down to the ground.
Barton is pushing down on Favor's leg trying to pass to half guard. Favor is fighting to maintain full guard but Barton has managed to sneak the leg through.
Favor has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Barton is working away from the top position though.

Barton wants to pass to mount but Favor is defending the position.
Barton is controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Barton stands up and beckons Favor to join him on the feet.

Favor forces Barton back against the cage and clinches.

Favor gets control of Barton's arms and successfully pulls guard. Favor will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Favor working for submissions but it's allowed Barton to get to half guard.
Barton looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Barton is trying to control. Favor wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Favor wants to improve his position but Barton is controlling well.
Barton is looking to take a break and control but Favor is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Favor wants to control but Barton is keeping busy and won't allow it.
AJ Barton is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Barton blocks the strikes from Favor.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
