Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dexter Morgan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Jones! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones tries for a takedown but Morgan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jones looks for a takedown but Morgan sprawls well. Dexter Morgan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Jones. Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Morgan misses with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Morgan tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Morgan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jim Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones gets the takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Morgan has escaped the position, nice work there. Morgan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground. Morgan wants to get back to his feet. Jones looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Morgan keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jones is trying to move to mount but Morgan reverses beautifully and ends up in Jones's guard. Morgan postures up.
Jones wants to sweep here but Morgan controlling him for the moment. Morgan wants to get up but he can't break Jones's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Morgan throws a lazy right hand but Jones sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Morgan is breathing heavily. Jones tries for a takedown but Morgan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jones fails to land the takedown. Jones fails to land the takedown. Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Morgan pinned against the cage. Morgan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Morgan circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dexter Morgan will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jones looks for a takedown but Morgan sprawls well. Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Morgan lands with a kick to the temple. Jones shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Jim Jones has been cut. Jones fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Morgan connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morgan throws the kick towards the body but Jones avoids it. Jones shoots in and drives through. Morgan sprawls well. Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Morgan which made him look bad. Morgan scores with a spinning back kick! Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Morgan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones moves out of range as Morgan throws a body kick.
The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Jones tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Morgan is able to avoid easily. Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Morgan circles away. Jones fails to land the takedown. Morgan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dexter Morgan dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Jim Jones's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Morgan moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Nice sprawl there from Morgan as Jones shoots in. Dexter Morgan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt. Morgan throws a nice outside leg kick. Dexter Morgan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jones takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Jones doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Morgan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones. Morgan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jones fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morgan connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jones shoots in but no luck this time. Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Dexter Morgan is winning the standup battle so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jones blocks a head kick by Morgan.
A solid leg kick lands there for Morgan.
Morgan wants to clinch. Jones shoots in and drives through. Morgan sprawls well.
And that's the end of the fight! Dexter Morgan showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Morgan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
