Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gary Bellamy (ranked 4618 p4p, 4908 weight class) and Jean Blanc (ranked 429 p4p, 439 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gary Bellamy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Blanc!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.

Bellamy buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
We've been told by Bellamy's head coaches at Triple XXX that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Bellamy lands a nice leg kick that just misses Blanc's sensitive parts.

Blanc chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bellamy can pounce on him.

Bellamy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Blanc circles away quickly and effectively.

Bellamy stalks Blanc and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Blanc's face. Blanc staggers backwards, shaken.

Bellamy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Blanc shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bellamy napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Blanc remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Blanc connects with a nice short shot to Bellamy's temple.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Bellamy throws a right hand that Blanc ducks under and follows up with a left that Blanc also avoids with ease.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Blanc shoots in looking for a takedown. Bellamy tries to sprawl out of it but Blanc keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bellamy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Blanc looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Gary Bellamy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bellamy scores with a sloppy right hand. Blanc should have avoided that one.

Blanc is rocked!
Bellamy closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Blanc out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
