Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Brown (ranked 4912 p4p, 3260 weight class) and Darry Curtis (ranked 503 p4p, 386 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by Hail Mary Tupac. Darry Curtis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joshua Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, Darry Curtis!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.

Brown darts in looking for a takedown but Curtis gets double underhooks and turns Brown into the cage.
Curtis connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Curtis cracks Brown with an open hand slap.
Curtis closes the distance but Brown moves to the side
and Brown counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Curtis thinking.
Curtis just misses with a punch to the body.
Brown doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Curtis fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Brown on the side of the head.
Brown shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Curtis pinned against the cage. Curtis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Curtis throws a body punch but Brown moves out of range.
A cross from Curtis lands.
It looks like Joshua Brown has been cut.
Curtis misses with a few strikes there.
Brown is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Brown takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Curtis scores with a jab to the head.
Curtis misses with a looping right.
Curtis stuffs the takedown attempt from Brown. Brown gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joshua Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Curtis fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Brown to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Brown looks to clinch but Curtis throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Brown taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Darry Curtis!
