Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sig Sauer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tourn Champ!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Champ shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sauer as he jumps to the side.

Sauer clinches with his opponent.
Champ jumps guard but Sauer stands there with Champ around his waist. Champ gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Champ is trying to pull guard but Sauer turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Sig Sauer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tourn Champ.
Sauer lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Champ backwards.
Champ jumps guard but Sauer turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Champ tries to pull guard but Sauer forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Sauer tries to throw a body punch but Champ avoids it by throwing Sauer back against the cage.
Champ is trying to pull guard but Sauer turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Sauer digs a right hand underneath Champ's ribcage. Champ let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Sauer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Champ wants to clinch.
Sauer tried to counter with a leg kick but Champ avoided it.
Sauer lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Tourn Champ has been cut.

Sauer darts in and clinches Champ up against the cage.
Champ jumps guard but Sauer turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
We've been hearing reports that Sauer has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Sauer lands a shoulder strike.
Sauer stalling in the clinch but Champ improves position.
A head punch on the inside from Sauer fails to land.
Sauer tries a body shot but Champ blocks it.
Sauer throws a head punch that misses.

Champ pulls Sauer into guard.
Champ keeping full guard, as Sauer tries to pass.
Sauer is working hard here to advance position.
Sauer trying to control but Champ is working from the bottom.
Sauer wants to stand and escape but instead Champ has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Champ is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Champ wants to pass the guard but Sauer is keeping the position.
Sauer is wriggling around but Champ manages to pass to half guard.
Sauer is trying to stand up here but Champ is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Champ moves into full mount! Sauer won't be happy about that!
Sauer really wants to buck Champ off and get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Champ fails to advance to Sauer's back.
Sauer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Champ on the ground.

Champ is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Sauer has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Sauer!

Champ had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sauer defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sauer makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Sauer wants to get up but he can't break Champ's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Champ working for a triangle but Sauer defends it easily.
Sauer wants to stand but Champ has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sig Sauer dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Tourn Champ's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Sauer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sauer misses with a body shot.
Champ has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Sauer gets tackled into the cage by Champ. Champ maintains the clinch.
Champ tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sauer just stands there and leans against the cage.

Champ jumps guard and drags Sauer to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Sauer wants to control from the top but Champ keeps moving.

Sauer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sauer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Champ lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sauer wants to stand up but Champ is controlling him.

Sauer is trying to control the position but Champ postures up.

Champ drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Champ jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Champ passes into half guard.

Champ is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Champ stops Sauer from getting back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Tourn Champ has got the better of the ground game so far.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

Sauer pushes Champ off, looking to escape but Champ dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Sauer is forced to tap! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tourn Champ!
A very excited looking Tourn Champ rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
