Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Rabago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rabago has chosen SKSK Faces as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rabago looks to land a right hand but Hunt moved out of range.
Rabago lands the left hand.
Rabago misses the jab.
Rabago throws the left hand but Hunt avoids the punch easily.
A swing and a miss from Rabago.
Hunt moves away from the strike by Rabago.
Rabago misses with a hook. Hunt ducked under it nicely.

Hunt scores with a takedown into Rabago's guard.
Hunt prevents Rabago from getting back to his feet.
Hunt scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Hunt controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Rabago wants to stand up but Hunt is controlling him.
Hunt stands and throws Rabago's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Rabago swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hunt wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rabago, who protects the arm well.
Rabago seems a little lost for a moment, as Hunt dominates the positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hunt cracks Rabago with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Rabago's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

You get the feeling that Rabago really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Hunt tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Hunt has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Hunt's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Hunt takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Hunt is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rabago is surviving well by controlling Hunt's body position as best he can.

Mike Hunt overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hunt has control of Rabago's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rabago regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Hunt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rabago is fending him off so far but Hunt persists. Nope, Rabago circles away and we're back to standing.

Rabago is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Hunt remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hunt is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rabago can do to turn this around?
Hunt is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Hunt gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Hunt gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Hunt apologises and we restart here on the feet.
