Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derek Regan (ranked 5066 p4p, 5069 weight class) and Franc Zarha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Regan fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Regan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Derek Regan has been cut.
Zarha scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Zarha scores with a shot to the body.
Regan takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Regan gets in close and instigates a clinch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Derek Regan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Regan is trying to pull guard but Zarha has him pressed against the cage.
Regan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Regan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Regan shoots in for a takedown but Zarha shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Zarha is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Regan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Zarha is trying to break the clinch but Regan has him pressed against the cage.

Regan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Zarha stuffs the takedown attempt from Regan. Regan gets slowly back to his feet.
Zarha throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Regan stumbling backwards into the cage! Regan bounces back off the cage towards Zarha, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Zarha lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Zarha celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
