VIllanova throws a nice looking combination but Fernandez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
VIllanova throws a head kick but Fernandez moves out of range.
And Fernandez tries to counter it with a takedown but VIllanova pushes his down on his head and steps out.
VIllanova swings for the body but Fernandez moves out of range.
VIllanova scores with a jab to the body.
Fernandez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. VIllanova tries to avoid it but Fernandez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag VIllanova to the ground. VIllanova escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fernandez darts in looking for a takedown but VIllanova gets double underhooks and turns Fernandez into the cage.

Oooooh!!! VIllanova has knocked Fernandez down with a huge combo! VIllanova steps away and waves a wobbly Fernandez back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Mickey Fernandez has been cut.

Fernandez has worked his way into a potential kimura here. VIllanova is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Fernandez yanks on the arm and VIllanova is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Fernandez.
