Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Galves (ranked 4812 p4p, 5276 weight class) and Adam Barnes (ranked 466 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.

Barnes fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Galves looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Galves throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Galves tries to clinch there but Barnes circles away.

and Barnes counters with a one-two to the body.
Barnes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Galves was well out of range. Poor timing from Barnes.
Barnes throws a shot to the body.

and Barnes counters with a nice body shot.
Galves tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Galves tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Barnes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Barnes stuffs the takedown attempt from Galves. Galves gets slowly back to his feet.
Barnes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Galves circles away quickly and effectively.
Galves tries to close the distance and clinch but Barnes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A nice side step and Barnes releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Barnes stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barnes bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Galves looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A countering left hand to the body from Barnes misses.
Galves fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roberto Galves. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Galves takes one to the chin there.
Galves throws a leg kick which misses Barnes's front leg but catches the back leg as Barnes tries to avoid it.
Barnes dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Barnes cracks a nice hook into Galves's ribs.
Nice uppercut there from Barnes.

and Barnes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Galves wants to clinch but Barnes slips to the side
and Barnes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Galves tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Barnes paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Galves takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Adam Barnes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Galves is breathing heavily.
Barnes fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Galves has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Barnes finds it's way round the side to connect with Galves's head.
Barnes feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Galves sprawling to the canvas! Galves rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Barnes finish him?!
Galves is rocked!
Galves takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Oh Galves is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Barnes is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Galves rather than just go for the knockout.

Galves drops his hands momentarily. Barnes doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Galves staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Galves doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
