PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between aFF EnoiS (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timoti Heinanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Edson Gomes and Daniel Cesar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Heinanen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Heinanen thows a huge punch but EnoiS dodges it nicely.
Heinanen stalling away here and it's allowed EnoiS to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
EnoiS is adopting a defensive guard.
Heinanen wants to control from the top but EnoiS keeps moving.
EnoiS can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Heinanen controls the pace.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Heinanen tries to free his leg and advance position but EnoiS is retaining full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Heinanen.
Heinanen wants to control but EnoiS is keeping him busy.

Heinanen swings around for an armbar but EnoiS sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Heinanen's guard.
EnoiS seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
EnoiS really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

EnoiS gets to his feet. Heinanen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
EnoiS connects with a high kick.
EnoiS throws a sloppy head kick and Heinanen moves out of range easily.
EnoiS is breathing heavily.
Heinanen misses with a series of wild punches.
Timoti Heinanen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Heinanen or perhaps it was just good defense by EnoiS which made him look bad.
Heinanen scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
EnoiS shoots in but Heinanen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
EnoiS throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Heinanen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Heinanen lands in his opponent's guard.

EnoiS is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

EnoiS knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Heinanen on the ground.

Timoti Heinanen dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

EnoiS avoids a punch combination nicely.
EnoiS throws a sloppy head kick and Heinanen moves out of range easily.

Heinanen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Heinanen throws a strike aimed at the side of EnoiS's head but EnoiS avoids it well.
Heinanen works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Heinanen wants to lay and pray for a moment but EnoiS keeps working.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Heinanen remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Heinanen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

EnoiS bucks up and tries to throw Heinanen off but instead Heinanen has got his back!

Heinanen has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of EnoiS's body.

Timoti Heinanen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Heinanen avoids the head kick by EnoiS.
Heinanen closes this distance looking for a takedown but EnoiS circles away.
A head kick misses from EnoiS.
EnoiS will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
EnoiS tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Heinanen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in EnoiS's guard.

Let's hope that Heinanen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Heinanen drops back looking for a leg! EnoiS is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and EnoiS manages to kick Heinanen off! Heinanen jumps back into EnoiS's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Heinanen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Heinanen throws a series of punches but EnoiS moves out of range.
Heinanen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. EnoiS tries to avoid it but Heinanen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag EnoiS to the ground. EnoiS escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
aFF EnoiS has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timoti Heinanen.
Heinanen lands a jab-cross combination.
EnoiS throws a head kick that misses.
Heinanen shoots and misses
and EnoiS counters with a body kick.

Heinanen darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Heinanen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
