Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Pep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Serra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocky Serra struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serra has a takedown stuffed.
Pep swinging wilding here.
Pep throws a right and a left that Serra avoids nicely.
Pep misses with a double jab.
Serra shoots in but Pep avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Serra misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Frankie Pep has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rocky Serra.
Serra looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Serra tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pep paws at him with a jab and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Serra looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pep is fending him off so far but Serra persists. Nope, Pep circles away and we're back to standing.

A jab-cross combination lands for Pep and sends Serra crashing to the mat! Pep follows him down to the mat - Serra regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Pep seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
