Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan Kelly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jet Li!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

Li throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
We've been hearing reports that Kelly has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Li looks to score with a jab to the body but Kelly is just out of range.

Kelly is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Li to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Li shrugs it off.

Li really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kelly. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kelly cracks Li with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Kelly has hold of Li's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Li manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kelly is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Li has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Li is bucking up trying to escape but Kelly cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Kelly jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Li manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Li takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kelly has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kelly lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Li is trying to get back to his feet but Kelly has full control of the position and if anything, Li has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Kelly seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Li for as long as he can get away with.

Kelly loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Li scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Kelly land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Kelly stands and salutes the crowd.
