Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sergio Banderas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brilliam Yago!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.





The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banderas scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Banderas jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Banderas uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Yago has time to react.
Yago misses with a body kick.
Sergio Banderas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yago fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Banderas, pushing him back against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Banderas fails to land.

Yago turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Yago manages to end up in side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Yago decides to stand up, so the ref orders Banderas to his feet.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Banderas, as that shot connected.
Banderas lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Yago needs to keep his hands up - Banderas had a free shot at his head there.

Banderas tries to keep at a distance but Yago has taken the fight into the clinch.
Banderas tries to break free but Yago pushes him back against the cage.
Yago blocks a body shot from Banderas.
Banderas misses with a punch to the body.
Banderas tries to work over Yago's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Banderas tries to throw a body punch but Yago avoids it by throwing Banderas back against the cage.
Banderas has a couple of punches blocked by Yago.

Banderas fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Yago wants a takedown but no success here.
Banderas misses with a body punch.
Banderas works on Yago's body with a couple of short punches.
Yago is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Banderas is looking to break free of the clinch but Yago has double underhooks.

Banderas tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Yago blocks an uppercut.

Yago jumps into guard, dragging Banderas to the mat.
Yago pulls Banderas in close to his closed guard and prevents Banderas from doing any damage or advancing position.
Yago manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Banderas manages to get himself to full guard.

Yago stands and steps away. Banderas gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Banderas has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Yago is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Banderas.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Banderas is trying to work for a sweep but Yago has mounted him!

Banderas takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Banderas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yago on the ground.
Banderas is looking to improve his position but Yago isn't that keen on the idea.

It looks like Sergio Banderas has been cut.

Oh Banderas is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Yago manages to capitalize on a mistake by Banderas to take his back!
Yago controlling the position well here. Banderas rolled but Yago kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Banderas seems to have got his legs back now.

Yago has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Banderas has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Yago looking to break Banderas's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Banderas remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Yago will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Banderas shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Yago eats them both and turns towards Banderas to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Banderas stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Yago showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Banderas.
Banderas's jab looks to have found its range, popping Yago under the eye.
A punch combination from Banderas misses.
Banderas lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Yago moves into the clinch.
Yago's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Yago blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A right handed body shot lands from Banderas.

Yago works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Yago is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Yago advances position into side control!

Yago gets to mount! Banderas was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Banderas is trying to escape the mount.

Banderas can't escape the position.
Yago looking to control and managing it successfully.
Banderas is bucking up trying to escape but Yago cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yago looking to secure an arm triangle but Banderas defends it well.

Yago looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Banderas covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
