Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Requis (ranked 4807 p4p, 2945 weight class) and Jack Shellenberger (ranked 439 p4p, 369 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Requis swinging wildly here.
Requis stalks Shellenberger and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Shellenberger's face. Shellenberger staggers backwards, shaken.
Shellenberger tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Requis swivels and escapes.
Shellenberger shoots in looking for a takedown. Requis tries to sprawl out of it but Shellenberger keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Requis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Requis throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Jack Shellenberger has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Requis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shellenberger.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Requis looks to move to half guard but instead Shellenberger has passed into mount! Damn!
Shellenberger is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Requis can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Shellenberger takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Jack Shellenberger decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
