Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thug Bones (ranked 7714 p4p, 7128 weight class) and Isaac Mendez (ranked 667 p4p, 642 weight class). Bones comes to the cage accompanied by Can't Be Touched. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

We've been hearing reports that Bones has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Bones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Oooooh!!! Bones has knocked Mendez down with a huge combo! Bones steps away and waves a wobbly Mendez back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Mendez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bones tries to avoid it but Mendez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bones to the ground. Bones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bones throws a big counter combination but Mendez scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Bones scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mendez doesn't seem bothered though.

Bones closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Bones throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Mendez's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Bones dives in looking to finish as Mendez flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Bones's strikes! Bones is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Mendez's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Mendez was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
