Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Demon (ranked 4750 p4p, 6761 weight class) and Edward Nigma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Demon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edward Nigma!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Nigma.
Nigma looks to land a left hand but Demon moved out of range nicely.
Demon drops down looking for a counter takedown but Nigma sprawls and moves away.
Nigma tries to land a body kick
and Demon counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Nigma!
Demon content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Demon wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nigma, who protects the arm well.
Nigma being controlled for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Demon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nigma is trying to escape the position but Demon is controlling the position.
Demon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nigma is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Demon happy to just control the position for now.
Nigma tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Demon in side control, just content to control the action for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Demon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Demon lands a nice forearm strike.
Nigma is letting Demon control him for a moment.
Demon is trying to get an arm triangle but Nigma is defending well.
Demon advances nicely into full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Demon looking to take Nigma's back but Nigma rolls and after a scramble, Nigma ends up on top in guard. Nice escape there from Nigma to escape a tricky position.
Nigma being controlled here momentarily.
Nigma trying to control the position from guard on top but Demon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Demon holds on and takes a little breather.
Nigma is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Demon has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Nigma is looking to defend but Demon has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Nigma! Demon pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Nigma taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Michael Demon!
