The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Skowronek rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mendes moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mendes throws the kick towards the body but Skowronek avoids it.
Skowronek is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Skowronek throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mendes tries to counter by clinching up but Skowronek breaks away and moves out of range.

Mendes appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Mendes dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Skowronek. That did some damage!

Mendes fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Skowronek.
Mendes dodges the punch combination from Skowronek.
Skowronek avoids the head kick by Mendes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Skowronek's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Mendes is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Skowronek gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Mendes misses with a short punch on the inside.
Mendes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mendes goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Mendes takes the fight into the clinch.
Mendes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mendes has closed the distance and engaged Skowronek in a clinch.
Skowronek blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Mendes tries to throw a body punch but Skowronek avoids it by throwing Mendes back against the ropes.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A nice right hand lands inside from Mendes.
Mendes tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Mendes pushes Skowronek back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
And that's the end of the fight!
Riyu Mendes showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Mendes has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
