The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Popper throws a nice outside leg kick.
Popper dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Silva. That did some damage!
Silva looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Popper tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silva was well out of range. Poor timing from Popper.
It seemed like Silva was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Silva misses the body punch
and Popper counters with a thumping low kick.
Popper scores with a nice strike.
Popper throws a low kick but it's checked well by Silva.
Popper takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Popper fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Silva checks it well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Silva! But no joy.
Silva moves forwards but Popper connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Popper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silva is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Popper.
Popper is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Popper misses with a low kick.
Silva misses with a two punch combination.
Popper cracks Silva with a good jab.

and Silva counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bung Popper is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Silva uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Popper.
Silva appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

and Silva counters with a left hand that sends Popper to the canvas!
