Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Chan (ranked 2589 p4p, 339 weight class) and John Willis (ranked 3337 p4p, 416 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willis staying out of range there.

Willis clinches up with Chan and pushes him back against the cage.
Chan is trying to pull guard but Willis has him pressed against the cage.
Come on Chan - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Willis has had enough of the clinch but Chan keeps him there for the moment.

Chan gets control of Willis's arms and successfully pulls guard. Chan will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Willis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Willis passes Chan's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Chan wants to sweep but Willis has passed to side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Willis decides to stand up, so the ref orders Chan to his feet.
Chan throws a looping overhand right but Willis ducks down to avoid it.
Chan scores with a sloppy right hand. Willis should have avoided that one.
Chan moves out of range as Willis throws a body kick.
Willis shoots in looking for a takedown but Chan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Willis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Willis shoots for a takedown but Chan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A quick step to the side and Chan tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chan moves into range and connects with a jab.
Willis takes one to the chin there.
Chan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Chan throws the left hand but Willis avoids the punch easily.
Chan throws a quick inside leg kick.

Chan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Willis, pushing him back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Willis jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chan being controlled here momentarily.
Let's hope that Willis has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Chan wants to stand but Willis is controlling his posture from full guard.

Chan stands and steps away. Willis gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Willis takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like John Willis has been cut.
Chan throws a looping overhand right but Willis ducks down to avoid it.
Chan blocks a jab.
Willis walks into a stiff left hand from Chan.
Chan connects with a single shot there.
Willis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Chan swivels and escapes.
Charlie Chan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Willis.
Chan throws out a loose jab but Willis uses good head movement to avoid it.
Chan ducks under a wild hook from Willis.
Chan scores with a nice head shot.
Chan throws a low kick but Willis moves out of range easily.
Chan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Chan scores with a shot to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chan scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Willis is rocked!
Chan fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Willis to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Willis looks to clinch but Chan throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Willis taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
