The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
And Sucks responds with a good body kick, but Wilson manages to step out the way in time.
Wilson misses with a low kick.
Sucks tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Sucks shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wilson as he jumps to the side.
Sucks tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wilson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Wilson quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

Wilson feints and as Sucks raises his hands in defense, Wilson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wilson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Sucks looks winded!
Wilson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sucks for as long as he can get away with.
Sucks is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wilson passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Wilson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wilson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
