Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zakai Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Batina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Junior Batina is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zakai Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Junior Batina!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Batina drives through with a takedown into guard.

Batina thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Batina drops back looking for a leg! Turner is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Turner manages to kick Batina off! Batina jumps back into Turner's guard.

Turner has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Batina is working away from the top position though.
Turner tries to roll over but Batina keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Turner wants to clinch up but Batina keeps it at a distance.

Turner closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Turner is breathing heavily.
Batina is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Turner off and has taken his back!
Batina is looking to control Turner but Turner is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Well, with Batina on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Turner is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Batina is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Turner knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Turner for a finish.

Even with his hooks in, Batina manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Turner is trying to get back to his feet but Batina has full control of the position and if anything, Turner has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Batina is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Turner defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Batina has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Turner! Can he survive? No! He's out! Batina gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
