Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Noah Sherdad (ranked 2817 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Warren (ranked 4532 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Noah Sherdad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trent Warren!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Sherdad.
Sherdad tries to clinch up.

Warren closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sherdad to the mat! Sherdad manages to get full guard.
Warren tries to stand but Sherdad is controlling from the bottom.

Sherdad is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Warren stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sherdad swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sherdad is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Warren is controlling him.

Sherdad scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Warren tries to pass to full mount but Sherdad defends it.
Sherdad wants to improve his position but Warren is controlling well.
Sherdad wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Warren wants to take a breather but Sherdad is having none of it.

Warren is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sherdad defends it well.

Warren winds up and cracks Sherdad with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Warren is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sherdad sees it coming and defends easily.

Warren is trying to work for a kimura but Sherdad is defending well.
Warren is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Warren takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Sherdad scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Sherdad pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Warren back to the cage. Sherdad follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Sherdad dips to his left and cracks Warren with an uppercut!
Noah Sherdad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Warren throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sherdad tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Warren is in Sherdad's guard.
Sherdad wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Warren manages to pass to side control.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Warren wants to take a breather but Sherdad is having none of it.

Warren looking to control but instead Sherdad has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Warren prevents Sherdad from standing back up.
Warren looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Warren throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Warren is looking for a kimura but Sherdad is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Warren to get the leverage.
Warren thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Sherdad wants to get back to his feet.
Warren perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sherdad is looking to control Warren's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sherdad avoid being mounted?
Warren content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Sherdad leaves Warren with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Warren is breathing heavily.
Sherdad stuffs the takedown.
As Warren looks to move away, Sherdad throws a big counter combo but Warren just gets out of the way.
Sherdad throws a series of strikes that have Warren backpedaling.
Sherdad throws a combination. Warren tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Sherdad swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Warren.
Left hook, right uppercut from Sherdad.

Warren moves into range and clinches up with Sherdad.

Sherdad is trying to stall.
Warren prevents Sherdad from breaking the clinch.
Sherdad is trying to break the clinch but Warren is controlling him.
Sherdad tries to circle away but Warren has him pinned against the cage.
Warren is trying to break the clinch but Sherdad is controlling him.

Sherdad escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Noah Sherdad is winning the standup battle so far.
Warren tries to clinch but Sherdad moves away
and Sherdad counters with a left and a right that stings Warren.

Sherdad bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Warren looks to move to half guard but instead Sherdad has passed into mount! Damn!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sherdad content just to control the position here.
Sherdad lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Warren hang on?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Warren is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position.
Warren is in a horrible position here. Sherdad smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Sherdad jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Warren manages to avoid the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Warren fails with a takedown attempt.
Warren swats away the attempt to clinch by Sherdad.
A clash of legs there as Sherdad blocks the low kick.
Warren tries to clinch but Sherdad moves away
letting Sherdad counter with a right hand.
Sherdad lands a jab.
Warren shoots in but Sherdad avoids the takedown attempt easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Warren tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Noah Sherdad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trent Warren.
Sherdad gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Warren.

Sherdad's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Warren is trying to stand.

Sherdad stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Sherdad decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sherdad is nestled in close to Warren, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Warren is trying to control but can't.

Warren is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sherdad scores with a couple of nice shots.

Trent Warren has got the better of the ground game so far.

Sherdad decides to stand and escape the position.

Warren has closed the distance and engaged Sherdad in a clinch.
Sherdad has Warren pressed against the cage, preventing Warren from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Warren jumps guard but Sherdad turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Sherdad is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Warren is aware though and is defending well.
Sherdad looking to hit a scissor sweep but Warren is one step ahead there.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sherdad is on top in guard.

Warren has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Sherdad should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Warren has tightened it up now! Sherdad should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
