PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Logan Paul (ranked 25666 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dechlan Tomsett (ranked 6233 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Logan Paul!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dechlan Tomsett!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tomsett.
Paul shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tomsett sprawls well. Tomsett wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Paul gets slowly back to his feet.
Despite the aggression on Tomsett's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Good work by Tomsett as he checks the leg kick.
Tomsett shoots in but Paul avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nice takedown defense from Tomsett. No joy for Paul on that attempt.
Tomsett stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tomsett wants it to stay on the feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Tomsett throws an overhand right that lands on Paul's shoulder, as Paul tries to avoid the shot.

Paul throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tomsett's waist but Tomsett gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Paul off to one side.
Paul doesn't manage to clinch there - Tomsett circles away.

Dechlan Tomsett is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tomsett working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Paul doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Paul manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dechlan Tomsett comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tomsett has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
